The Forest Governance Observatory (OGF) carried out a joint forest control mission from September 9 to 21, 2023 in the Equateur province in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This mission was ordered by the provincial governor following the correspondence of the Provincial Environmental Coordination of the Equateur Province requesting the Forest Governance Observatory dated August 18, 2023 for technical and financial support for a forest control mission and installations in the province. But also to the multiple denunciations of environmental civil society organizations concerning industrial loggers, namely Société Millénaire Forestière (SOMIFOR) (002/15), CONGO KING BAISHENG DEVELOPEMNT FORESTRY (001 and 002/20, 008/20).
